Originally from the Netherlands, I lived in Europe until moving to Atlantic Canada in 2003. Attending the University of New Brunswick, I obtained a Bachelor degree in Computer Science with first class honours in Multimedia Systems. I am currently living in Halifax, Nova Scotia where I am looking for a job that allows me to get creative as a designer, photographer and web developer.

Since 2003, I have worked as a freelance designer and developer (PHP / ASP / ASP.NET / XHTML / CSS / MySQL) on several diverse projects, varying from websites, print design to logo development, and brand identity. As well, I am highly skilled in digital photography and image manipulation. While completing my undergraduate degree, I was involved with my surrounding community, and had taken on additional responsibilities, providing an opportunity to hone my communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Studying and working in the field of Computer Science and Design for the past five years, I have proven to be a meticulous graphic designer and webdeveloper who aims to create original media with a strong focus on usability and webstandards. Throughout all of my projects and endeavors, I demonstrate a strong work ethic, outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills, as well as dedication to everything I take on.

I am interested in a work environment with a strong creative focus that will also provide an opportunity to both use and gain theoretical and practical experience, whilst contributing to innovative solutions and problem solving. Merging my computer science background with my interpersonal experience, I am not only able to communicate with clients, but also recognize an audience, assess their needs and efficiently deliver.
